My family always gave me the opportunity of trying many different things; I had a great education through the public school system, and outside of that I had dance classes, violin and piano lessons, learned how to make pottery and stained-glass, went to music camp in the summers… I loved that!  When it came time to make the decision to become a singer, I knew why I was doing it because I had tried so many other things.

I think it’s gotten a bit richer in color, and I know I’m more comfortable in the higher range than I ever was.  I just try to keep the entire range even by vocalizing every day, and try to find my voice in all my roles rather than imitate anyone else.
